Roby, a native of Shelby, Mississippi, leads MHA as CEO. He also serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Community Health Center Association of Mississippi, CEO of Building Communities of Excellence, and as an adjunct faculty member in Health Care Administration at Jackson State University. Dr. Roby holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Mississippi Valley State University, a master's degree in Sociology, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Jackson State University. With 25 years of professional administrative experience, he possesses exceptional knowledge in scientific practices and capacity building assistance. Dr. Roby has been a community activist for the LGBTQ community and has managed 35 prevention intervention projects addressing issues such as smoking cessation, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, various cancers, and HIV/STIs.
